We should all care about what our chief has to say on topics like the school board, downtown revitalization, citizen engagement in politics and private development, the budget currently before the city's Board of Estimate and Apportionment and more....and so, co-host Thomas Crone and I are pleased to bring you a conversation with the man himself, Mayor Francis Slay, this evening on The Wire.
It's on KDHX, dontcha know?

A few questions for hizzoner--
Many people see a looming trainwreck in the pensions promised to government workers all over the country, who is responsible for the city worker's pension [I assume that it is the city itself, ultimately, after the pension fund] and what is the financial health of the city worker's pension?
What is your opinion of the eminent domain bills working their way through the Missouri Legislature? [Me? I think they stink because they still don't define blight.]
Again, another finance question, what is the rate of change, and in what direction, in the property tax collections? That question should be asked in line with TIFs doled out and when do the taxes collected start to go up.
Boring questions, and I won't be able to hear the show live, sorry. Did I miss a pledge drive? It usually happens around Final Four time. Maybe I did miss it.

Thanks for asking, Butler, and you'll be delighted to know you haven't missed your chance! The Wire's edition of pledge drivepalooza happens on Monday, May 8. Yeeha.
