One wonders if the headache ball has a now-inevitable date with the Century building: Charlene Prost says we'll see movement by the end of this week.

One important correction to Charlene Prost.
Webster University does NOT have plans for day classes at the Old Post Office. In fact, Webster has NO concrete plans for expanding its offerings downtown. The classes which will be offered in the renovated OPO will be exactly the same classes offered currently in the Lammert Building (a beautiful, historic building, by the way, which is already half empty and is now to be largely abandoned.)
Somebody, however, keeps reintroducing the idea that Webster is significantly expanding its downtown presence by moving to the OPO. It's either a lie (Mr. Stogel's department, I think) or sloppy journalism (Ms. Prost?) or a deliberate obfuscation of vague vague pseudo-plans for an undetermined future.
A year ago, Webster floated the idea of seminars and training for area businesses downtown but did not get sufficient response to move forward.
As of now, the move from Lammert to OPO is a zero-sum game.
