Just How Unique Are These Office Lofts?

So, the Anderson Garage on Grand near Russell now sports a slapped-on banner over its near-permanent "Unique Office Lofts for Rent!" sandwich board, which says that it's 100% leased.

Perhaps it's contingent on a lesee-directed buildout? I can just imagine the directives now: "Well, we're going to need four walls, and a ceiling and roof if you can manage it. The broken glass and pigeon colonies -- while chic -- will have to go."

Can't wait to see what goes in there!

i guess people here have a thing for slamming on anderson garage, but i happen to know it is leased- long term in fact & to a national co. moving to town. i will grant you that the signage has been suspect at best so far

I'm wondering if their local rep toured the place, or just went on the info listed in the Business Journal's annual list of rentable space? I'm thrilled something real will actually go in there...I'm just saying that there is currently no roof or walls in a majority of the building. It's the developer I'm slamming, not the poor building itself.

Do you know and can you share what the national company is?

According to the Arch City Chronicle, "Science Application International Corporation will move into the Garage in the summer of 2004. A blighting bill will be introduced to the Board of Aldermen soon, paving the way for tax abatement."

Recently, somebody hit the front of the building with two enormous graffiti tags. How they managed to do that on a busy street like Grand without getting caught is beyond me. The graffiti is above the second-story windows.

I noticed that the other day!
My favorite is the one that says "Metal Porn"
It's the latest catch phrase around our office!
